Lindsay Minihan

Lindsay is the Executive Director of Metalwerx and has been with the organization since 2006.  Over the past decade, Lindsay has helped Metalwerx double in size, expanded the annual curriculum to include more than 100 courses year-round, and initiated many new programs for the benefit of the Metalwerx community.  She loves working with students, educators, visiting artists, and is passionate about jewelry making.

Also trained as a metalsmith, Lindsay received her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2005. She graduated with high honors and academic distinction. She still practices metalworking when she can find time. Some of her work is listed on her website:  Her love of metals influences Metalwerx's programming -- Designing new classes and meeting other artists is one of her favorite parts of the job.

Lindsay is a member and volunteers her time with the Commonwealth of Craft Consortium and the Women's Jewelry Association (WJA).  She is also a member of the American Craft Council (ACC), Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America (MJSA), and the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG).

Anyone who makes jewelry also loves tools.  Lindsay became a Foredom distributor in 2013, a trusted brand she's been using since she first learned to make jewelry. She sells Foredom products for Metalwerx and has also traveled to the annual JCK show in Las Vegas to help out at Otto Frei's booth, another fantastic tool and supply company she enjoys working with.
