Make Your Own Textures for Metal Clay

Learn different methods of making your own texture plates for use with metal clay. Techniques include, but are not be limited to, photo-polymer plates (for stamps-as seen in the image above), polymer clay tear-away sheets, carved polymer clay and 2-part silicone molding materials.
From these unique and one-of-a-kind textures, students will be able to make at least a pendant or a pair of earrings over the weekend. In addition, go home with new textures & skills to use in future metal clay artwork.

Materials & Tools Tool kits will be provided for use during class. The $30 materials fee, payable at the workshop, includes a 4 x 4 photo-polymer plate,
materials for polymer clay tear-aways, a baked polymer sheet for carving, 2-part silicone molding materials and images for each. Plus, students will also receive leather cord or 1 pair of sterling ear-wires to finish up a piece in class. Clay will be available for purchase from instructor as needed.
