This course is designed to continue to expand your skills for working in metal clay. Students will learn to make different styles of clasps, account for shrinkage when making items such as sleeve pendants, bangle bracelets and rings, as well as working with less used formulas of metal clay, such as paper clay, syringe and overlay paste.

If you'd like to see more of Michela's work, please visit her website www.everlastingtreasures.org

Previous metal clay experience is required! This class is 10 sessions long. Each session meets for 3 hours. There will be no class on October 10, 2011. If a make-up class is necessary, it will be held on December 5, 2011.

Please note: Since this is an advanced class, student interest will help to steer the direction of demonstrations and projects. This will affect the cost of materials. Students should expect to bring or purchase additional supplies as necessary. Students enrolled in this class are also welcome to pursue their own projects and ideas with the guidance of the instructor.

Materials & Tools

The $110 materials fee includes a 50 Gram package of silver metal clay. As indicated above, students will have the opportunity to purchase more clay and materials as necessary.

Anticipated additional supplies that students can get on their own or purchase at class for projects can include paper clay, syringe, metal clay gold paint, and overlay paste.
