Turn that pocket full of special pebbles, shards of pottery, and bits of sea glass into jewelry that will make you think of that day at the ocean all year.

Learn to drill through glass, stone and ceramic and combine them with sterling silver to make earrings, necklaces, charms and bracelets that will keep your memories close to you every time you wear them. With cold connections, and a variety of commercial findings, ear wires, chains, and cables, you will have the skills to make very personal jewelry for friends, family, and yourself long after beach days turn into school days. There will be no soldering in this workshop so we can all relax!

Please note: Sunday, January 15 is the scheduled make-up day for this workshop if inclement weather becomes an issue.

Materials & Tools

A required $30 materials kit (payable to the instructor at the workshop) will include drill bits, sterling silver tubing and jump rings, beach glass and pebbles, however, students may also bring their own collection of treasures. A variety of findings, etc. will be available for sale from the instructor to complete your projects.

Students should bring:

• A shallow glass pie plate or equivalent in size and depth
• A dish towel or two
• Pliers, wire snips, and needle files if you have them
• Sketches or photos of jewelry they like made of glass or pebbles
