Resin Inlay
Instructor: Ms. Wendy Jo New
Level: All Skill Levels Requirements: Basic Fabrication and Soldering Skills Program: Winter Status: Closed Length: 1 Days Tuition: $ 130 Materials: TBA Date: January 27, 2012 - January 27, 2012 Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Location: Metalwerx
What is resin inlay anyway!?! This 1 day class will cover the entire process of adding resin inlay to a metal design for the express purpose of adding color.
Students will first experiment adding resin inlay to a very simple metal piece in order to understand how to color, "inlay", cure and "finish" resin. Students will then fabricate a metal piece that they design into which they'll then add resin using the process learned with the first project.
This is a great way to add absolutely any color you can think of to a piece without the need for a kiln or torch.
Basic soldering skills are required
