Ever want to go beyond the basic bezel and expand your repertoire of stone-setting skills? In this two day workshop, learn about tube bezels, channel settings, open back bezels, and many little tips and tricks to help your settings go from ordinary to extraordinary.

We will cover how to set a faceted stones in a bezel, modifying a bezel to make it look more unique, tips and tricks for setting stones, and how to clean up a bezels for a perfect appearance.

Make a special tool for hammer-setting then learn to hammer-set stones for thicker bezels. Even learn to apply textures on a bezel without cracking stones in the process!

Students should have basic soldering experience and have done a basic bezel.

Materials & Tools
There is a materials kit for this class. It costs $20 and is payable to the instructor at the workshop. It includes 24 ga sterling silver sheet, 1/4" fine silver bezel strip, and 20 ga round wire to make settings.

Students Should Bring:

  • 2.5mm - 20mm faceted stones, round, oval, or other shapes
  • Any stones you have questions about
  • Any fine silver bezel or sheet you want to bring
  • Any 16 - 20 ga sterling silver wire you want to bring
  • Students can work in gold but they must supply their own bezel wire, etc.
