Looking for something fun to do with your children during school vacation this winter? Come join us for an exciting and creative week of jewelry making with Sarah Doremus! This four-day workshop is designed for parents and kids to make art together, get inspired, and stay warm in our fully equipped studio!
Start by learning the basics of tools, their functions and a little history. With special projects to enhance technical knowledge, both of you will learn how to bend, file, pierce, drill, rivet, solder, polish and leave with handmade one-of-a-kind jewelry. With lots of demonstrations and plenty of time to play, this workshop is a perfect way to keep busy with your child and let both your imaginations run wild this winter.
Please Note: Kids must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. All children must be 12 and up.
Tuition costs $375 per student.
Materials cost $60 per student.
When registering for the class, make sure to sign up for both participants. Price listed above reflects 1 student.
Materials & Tools
Material's kits include copper, sterling silver, solder, bezel wire, cabochon stone, saw blades, and other materials to complete projects.
Students should bring:
- Small hand towel
- Tool box (shoe box, plastic tackle box etc.)
- Old tooth brush (for cleaning)
- Ruler
- Ultra Fine point Sharpie permanent marker
- Sketchbook, pen and pencil
- If students wish to bring additional metal/materials, they are welcome to do so.
