This class continues where A Taste of Blacksmithing left off.

You will learn more about shop safety and forge-fire management. You will be guided thorough projects that will expand your repertoire of basic blacksmithing techniques including drawing, bending, cutting, twisting, fullering, punching, drifting, and riveting. There will be time after the hammers are down for questions and further discussion.

It will be helpful if students have taken A Taste of Blacksmithing, or have some slight blacksmithing experience.

This class is 4 sessions long. Class size is limited to 4 students.

This class is being offered twice this winter. The other dates are listed below:

  • Dates: January 30 - February 20, 2008
  • Time: Wednesdays, 6:30 AM - 9:30 PM
  • Length: 4 Sessions, 3 hours each

Materials & Tools
All materials for this class are provided for you. For safety students should wear close toe shoes and natural fiber clothing which you are willing to get dirty and sweat in. Pants should come down over the tops of your shoes.
