From Boston and points east:
You have two options for reaching us from Boston and points east: Route I90 (Massachusetts Turnpike) or Route 2. The links on this page and the map above will take you to Google Maps with turn-by-turn directions; our directions here simplified a little, but still accurate.
On I90 / Mass Pike West:
- Head west on I-90 / Mass Pike - go approx 10.5 mi, depending where you got on the Pike
- Take exit 15 for I-95/MA-128 North - go 2.7 mi
- Take exit 26 toward Waltham/Weston/US-20 - go 0.2 mi
- Merge onto US-20 E - go 1.2 mi
- Turn left at Hammond St - go 0.3 mi
- Take the 3rd right onto Guinan St - go 0.1 mi
- Metalwerx is a brick building about halfway down Guinan Street on your left.
On Route 2 East:
Note: This route is a little tricky if you don't know the area; the street views in Google Maps might help, even if you are a local.
- Head north on I93 - go approx 10.5 mi, depending where you got on 93
- Take exit 37B to merge ontoI-95/MA-128 South toward Waltham - go 14.5 mi
- Take exit 26 toward Waltham/Weston/US-20 - go 0.4 mi
- Merge onto US-20 E - go 1.4 mi
- Turn left at Hammond St - go 0.3 mi
- Take the 3rd right onto Guinan St - go 0.1 mi
- Metalwerx is a brick building about halfway down Guinan Street on your left.
From New Hampshire and points North:
From the north, you can take I93 or Route 3 South to I95/Route 128 South. If you're coming from the coast, just take I95 or 128 south. Once you've reached I95/Route 128 South, follow the directions below.
On Route I95/128 South:
- Take exit 26 toward Waltham/Weston/US-20 - go 0.4 mi
- Merge onto US-20 E - go 1.4 mi
- Turn left at Hammond St - go 0.3 mi
- Take the 3rd right onto Guinan St - go 0.1 mi
- Metalwerx is a brick building about halfway down Guinan Street on your left.
From the Cape, Rhode Island, and points South:
From the Cape, your best option will depend on traffic -- but we don't have to tell you that. We'll assume that you're taking Route 3N to 93S to 95N. Take any other Route you want, as long as it gets you the 95N. From there, follow the directions below.
From Rhode Island, follow whatever route you usually take to 95 north, depending where you live. Once you're on 95 North, follow the directions below.
On Route I95/128 North:
- Head west on I-90 / Mass Pike - go approx 10.5 mi, depending where you got on the Pike
- Take exit 15 for I-95/MA-128 North - go 2.7 mi
- Take exit 26 toward Waltham/Weston/US-20 - go 0.2 mi
- Merge onto US-20 E - go 1.2 mi
- Turn left at Hammond St - go 0.3 mi
- Take the 3rd right onto Guinan St - go 0.1 mi
- Metalwerx is a brick building about halfway down Guinan Street on your left.
From points West:
Take Route 2 to I95 South or I90 (Massachusetts Turnpike) to I95 North. Follow the appropriate route above, depending on the direction you are traveling.

Transportation to and from Logan Airport
If you fly into Logan and don't plan to rent a car, you can get to Waltham using public transportation or a car service.
Public Transportation: The MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority), operates the subway, commuter rail, and buses. To get to Metalwerx from Logan Airport using public transportation:
- Take the Silver Line bus from the airport to South Station. (The Silver Line stops at Terminals A, B, D, and E.)
- At South Station, change to the subway, and take a Red Line train Outbound to Porter Square.
At Porter Square, change to the commuter rail, and take the Fitchburg/South Acton line to Waltham Station.
For details about schedules and fares, please see the MBTA website. The site also has a very helpful Trip Planner to help you plan your route, no matter where you're coming from, or what type of public transportation you would like to use.
Limos: There are at least two limo companies that provide service from Logan to Waltham. Their terms are basically the same, call at least 24 hours in advance to schedule pickup and you must supply them with your flight information and a credit card number. One company may provide a better rate than the other, so call both. Two companies that provide service to Waltham are:

Waltham has an incredible selection of restaurants: some within walking distance, others are within easy driving distance, and yet others will deliver.
Metalwerx also has a kitchen with microwave and a full size refrigerator to store lunches. Fulciniti's, an Italian deli, is right down the street and is open from 8am to 9pm.
