| Ms. Heather Skowood |

|
Heather has had the pleasure of living, learning, teaching and working with jewelry communities in both the US and the UK. Through her experiences she has worked with many students and fellow jewelry designer/makers that have inspired and driven her passion for making jewelry.
In 1991 Heather received her BFA in 3-D Fine Arts from Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia where she studied sculpture and jewelry. She also gained invaluable bench experience with goldsmiths in Worcester, MA and Philadelphia that provided her with additional making skills.
Heather set up her business designing and selling her own jewelry after moving to Manchester, England in 2002. That same year Heather joined the Manchester Jewellers Network and collaborated with them for the next 5 years to promote handmade contemporary jewelry through lectures and exhibitions throughout the UK and mainland Europe. Their 2006 exhibition "Architectonics: Foundations in Jewellery" was exhibited in both Manchester and San Francisco at the Velvet da Vinci gallery.
In 2007 Heather returned to the US to reconnect with the jewelry community here and continue to promote the importance of handmade objects and the power of self expression through jewelry to new audiences.
