| Ms. Marsha White |

|
Having earned a Ph.D. from Harvard, Marsha looked forward to an exciting career in academia. However, years of dismal adjunct teaching and a major illness forced her to reevaluate her priorities. A childhood love of arts and crafts re-emerged, and her jewelry-making, which began as a hobby, quickly took over her life.
Spiritually rooted in the land and people of New Mexico, she draws on Indian designs as her inspiration. She collects handmade Navajo stamps, and uses only authentic Southwest turquoise in her jewelry. The highlight of her semi-annual trips to New Mexico is visiting the Zuni pueblo, where she buys the rough Sleeping Beauty nuggets that she cuts for many of her pieces.
She is represented at the River Gallery in Ipswich, and can be contacted through Metalwerx.
